APPLICATION TIPS

The Right Transfer Process

A great transfer starts with the right technique. Follow these four application tips from Falcon Transfers for better adhesion, cleaner peeling and more consistent results across DTF transfers, specialty applications and heat-sensitive fabrics.

Apply Heat Evenly

Whether you’re using a heat press or handheld press, apply consistent heat across the entire design. Pay extra attention to edges and corners for even adhesion and a clean finish.

Re-Press If Needed

If part of your DTF transfer has not fully bonded, place the carrier back down and press again using the recommended heat, time and pressure for that transfer.

Watch the Peel

Peel the carrier slowly and watch how the design releases. If any area begins to lift, stop peeling, lay the film back down and re-press before continuing.

Test New Fabrics First

Before applying a transfer to an unfamiliar fabric, test a small area first. For polyester, nylon and other heat-sensitive materials, check whether DTF LowTemp is the better application option.
